Heartland Fans Reveal Their Favorite Moments — It’s All Amy & Ty

Even now, years later, the moments people remember most haven’t changed.
Heartland isn't the same without Amy and Ty

Let's be honest about what happened when Ty Borden died. The show didn't just lose a supporting character; it lost the main reason most of us were watching.

That's not a controversial opinion. Look at any fan thread, any comment section, any Reddit post asking 'what's your favorite Heartland moment?' The answers are almost always about Amy and Ty. Sometimes it's their wedding. Sometimes it's when Lyndy was born, or Ty standing in the rain outside the barn in the middle of some argument they both wanted to end. But it's always them.

I've watched this show long enough to remember when people were still debating if Amy and Ty would actually get together — like there was ever any real doubt. What kept you watching wasn't the uncertainty. It was the way they were together. The way he'd hang back and let her work with a horse instead of jumping in. The way she'd look at him like she was still a little surprised he stayed. That kind of stuff doesn't come from writers room deciding 'let's give them chemistry.' It's either there or it isn't.

With Graham Wardle and Amber Marshall, it was there from day one.

And that's why losing Ty stings in a way that's hard to explain to non-fans. We're not mourning a plot point. We're sad about a whole version of the show — the one where you knew, no matter how bad things got on the ranch, those two would figure it out.

That feeling carried the show for years.

The fan votes rolling in lately confirm what everyone already knows. The moments that hit hardest aren't the big dramatic ones. It's the small stuff. A look across a stall. A conversation in a truck going nowhere in particular.

Those little scenes that only someone who watched every episode would even remember.

Heartland has told good stories since Ty left. Some really good ones, actually. But it's been missing its core ever since, and no amount of new characters or storylines is going to fix that. The show was at its best when Amy and Ty were in it together.

And deep down, fans know it.

So, what's your favorite moment?
The wedding? Their first kiss that took forever?
Or something smaller that most people have forgotten?

Drop it in the comments. That's where these conversations still feel like the show we remember.

Heartland needs to fix this! Nothing past season 13 is working! I know Graham doesn’t want to come back, and it’s sad that Robert Cormier passed. He was great! Those two had the same temperament. But Nathan doesn’t work!

It from there first meeting until the day he died. It was the most believed love story in TV history. They made us love them as thow they were really in love. Seems ever show had a lesson to learn about love, hurt, and sadness.

The proposal was tremendous. Their wedding. Amy telling Ty she was goingnto have a baby. Lindys birth. . Hated him leaving and going to mongolia when sheɓwas 4 months pregnant. His death was such a shock
