NCIS Fans Are Nervous Again — Here’s What We Know About Season 24

I have been watching this show for so long that it feels weird to even think about it ending. But with all the news lately about the spinoffs, I cannot help but feel a little nervous. Seeing Tony and Ziva get canceled after just one season was a huge gut punch. And now hearing that Origins and Sydney are struggling too? It makes me wonder what CBS is thinking about the main show.
We have not heard anything official about Season 24 yet. That would be the 2026-2027 season, which sounds like it is a lifetime away, but in TV time, decisions are usually happening right now. Since there is no renewal yet, the cast isn't technically locked in, but I am really hoping everyone stays.
Alden Parker had such a rough time at the end of last season with his dad. Gary Cole has really grown on me since he joined. Then you have Sean Murray, who is basically the soul of the office at this point. I cannot imagine a Tuesday night without McGee.
Wilmer Valderrama and Katrina Law are still holding things down as Torres and Knight. I loved seeing Knight get back into the swing of things recently. And of course, we still have Jimmy Palmer and Kasie in the lab. Brian Dietzen just gets better every year, and his energy with the rest of the group is so good.
Director Vance is still there too, which is great. Rocky Carroll just hit a big mark with his directing, and I hope he sticks around forever.
It was so cool seeing Emily Wickersham come back as Bishop for that guest spot in December. I missed her. And that Gibbs crossover with Origins? It reminded me why I fell in love with this show in the first place.
Losing David McCallum was the hardest part of the last few years. Seeing how the show honored Ducky was beautiful, but it still feels like there is a hole there.
I am just crossing my fingers that CBS gives us the green light soon. This team has a lot of life left in them, and I am not ready to say goodbye to the main show just yet.
